“Genuinely one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Room was incredibly clean, comfortable and quiet. Free popcorn in the lobby and then free breakfast AND dinner buffet. Restaurant and bar was open late if you get hungry which I did. Then business center to print something for work. Lastly the staff was super nice. Incredible experience.”

“The property was lovely and well laid out. We saw deer drinking from the pond and and enjoyed nice fires at the fire pit. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We have stayed at a few cabins and this one is at the top of my list. It was clear that the owners put a lot of thought into the accomodations and making you feel welcome. The delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies on the table were a most welcome surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay very much. It is a great place to get away...

“The hotel (Mount Vernon Hotel and Event Center - no longer exists under this name) has changed management and did not allow us to stay. They said they could see our reservation and were willing to cancel it, but it was booked under a previous management and they did not allow any pets, so we could not stay with our dog. They said they credited out account, but I am still being charged the full amount by Expedia and it is, so far, very difficult to contact Expedia for a credit. We ended up...

“This property owner is non communicative with both guests and VRBO. They will eventually, at the last minute when prompted by vrbo, send check in instructions and say they expect a 5 star review. We would not feel safe traveling to this property (especially with children) without solid communication. All onus is placed on guests no matter the circumstances. This property owner knows that and works in those parameters. Cannot in good faith recommend this property or host.”
